Four live bombs found in Tumkur

Tumkur, Jan 18: Four live bombs were found at Tumkur district of Pavagad on Sunday morning, Jan 18. Peddanna, a naxalite was arrested by the Police on Dec 31. Reports suggest that he belong to a gang of suspected terrorists. During the interrogation Pedanna revealed about the bombs placed in Tumkur.

During the search operation police retrived four live bombs. First bomb was found in the morning, the search operation continued and police got three more bomb.

The bomb was detected beneath a bridge in Venkatammannahalli. Pedenna was arrested from Anathapura. He is the main accused in the Venkatammanna village police death case.

Bomb squad is still in action.

Punjab Police recover 2 live bombs

Moga, Jan 26: The Punjab Police yesterday recovered two live bombs from a secluded place in Basti Sadhanwali here last night. According to SSP Ashok Nath preliminary inquiries revealed that the bombs had probably been dumped by a scrap dealer after realising that these could go off if he attempted to extracted scrap from them. The army authorities were later summoned and the bombs were diffused. The police have launched an investigation and are contacting the scrap dealers of the town......

Live bombs recovered from North East express in Bihar

Katihar, Jan 11: Local police today recovered two live bombs from a coach of the Guwahati bound North East Express at Katihar railway station under North East Frontier Railways. Railway sources said here that a passenger informed the police about the bombs planted under a seat in a general bogie of the train. The sources said the security forces and the Government Railway Police seized the bombs which were later defused. Before resuming the journey, the entire train was checked.....
