Bangalore, Jan 9: Chief Minister of Karnataka, B S Yeddiyurappa has welcomed the senior Congress leader, H S Srikantaiah's decision to join BJP.

Speaking at a press meet on Friday, Jan 9, BSY said, "BJP doors are always opened for people who want to join the party. In order to strengthen the party we welcome other party members to join our party. We have great respects to Mr Srikantaiah. It is a pleasure to know that a Congress senior leader wants to join BJP. We will hold discussion with President, Sadananda Gowda regarding this and take further steps."

Apart from Srikantaiah's decision to join BJP, the royal scion, Srikanta Dutta Wodeyar has also decided to join BJP. Wodeyar is unhappy about the way Siddaramiah is treating him in the party and in the recent by-elections also, the Karnataka High Command ignored giving tickets to the candidates suggested by Wodeyar for Turuvekere and Doddaballapura.
