Don't punish innocent Satyam employees, hire them
Infosys Technologies HR, education & research and administration Director TV Mohandas Pai told Economic Times that, "We have asked our recruitment staff not to poach anybody from Satyam. The company is in the middle of a crisis and people will jump ship".

Economic times story again says that, "A person familiar with the matter, who asked not to be named, said that Infosys would refrain from even hiring domain experts or project managers from Satyam. Infosys has even advised staff against entertaining calls from Satyam employees."

What is the truth? Infosys is not going to poach employees from Satyam or it is not going to accept any resume from a Satyam employee. On Wednesday, Jan 7 Infosys had ruled out any possibility of taking over Satyam. "We will not touch such a tainted company," Infosys founder and non-executive Chairman N R Narayana Murthy had said. When we combine these statements by Mohandas Pai and NRN Infosys is going to recruit anybody from Satyam. Or on Camera they are saying that they won't poach and behind the curtain they are poaching key staff from Satyam?

If they are not entertaining any body from Satyam to join their organisation that will only add to the woes of Satyamites. What wrong have they done to be treated this way? It is disappointing to see such a harsh stand from an industry leader who is so well respected in India.

It is intelligible to have a stand not to hire anyone who is close to the fraud. We can't say that ordinary software engineers, project leads, project managers and domain experts are related to this fraud done in the management level. Why should Infosys or any othere leading IT company show apartheid towards Satyam staff.

Thousands of employees in Satyam are going to loose their job soon, or they will be there without any salary. Leading recruiting firm Headhunders India CEO Kris Lakshmikanth said, "It is most likely that Satyam will cut 10,000 jobs next month as the company is left with no cash to pay the salaries. The current fiasco is likely to put pressure on salaries, which may reduce by 10 per cent due to the surplus of about 20,000 people in the jobs market".

According to industry sources job sites on Internet and head hunters have postings of about 20,000 resumes from the besieged company. This shows the severeness of the situation.

Oneindia.in spoke to few of the competitors of Satyam and they have no hesitation in hiring good talents from Satyam. A senior official in iGATE told Oneindia.in that "We will certainly hire good Satyam employees as we believe that they are innocent". That would be the right thing to do. In this hour of crisis the entire IT industry needs to come together to help the 'helpless employees'. At the same time Satyam employees too shouldn't be too demanding.

we the satyamites are proud of our abilities and skills , we love satyam for its ability to attract '180' out of fortune 500 companies in the world and still adding ,and the company with such a caliber never see back in such difficult times and stay united ,and the comments made by Mr.narayan murthy and the hr of his company that satyam is rotten apple and no one wants to eat ,i say it is obvious that they had so much frustration in their minds so long in industry they were searching for oppurtunities REASON:-SATYAM HAD TOOK OVER "ELEVEN (11) CLIENTS FROM INFY " for its quality work this is the reason why these chaps want them back to their list ,frankly speaking i was a great admirer of mr.narayan murthy but after heard his statements on satyam his real picture is clear that he is so selfish that he never thought of the nation's pride and never cared that it will effect the Indian IT industry badly shame on them who never care for india for their selfish needs !!!!!!
