Jharkhand: Shibu Soren loses by-election

Ranchi, Jan 8: Jharkhand Chief minister, Shibu Soren on Thursday, Jan 8 lost the by-elections for Tamar Assembly constituency. Soren lost to Jharkhand Party candidate Gopal Krishna Patar by 9,200 votes.

&13;The counting for Tamar Assembly Constituency began on Thursday, Jan 8 at 8 am amid tight security.

&13;Soren was seeking to enter the Assembly within the stipulated six months after assuming office on Aug 27.

&13;The seat fell vacant after JD(U) legislature party leader Ramesh Singh Munda was gunned down on July 9 last year by suspected Maoists.

Ranchi, Jul 21: Steel Minister Ramvilas Paswan today said the Centre was ready to set up a steel plant having a capacity of 15 million tonnes in Jharkhand if the state government ensures to provide two out of three billion tonnes of iron ore produced by Chiria mines. Talking to reporters at the Birsa Munda airport here, Mr Pawswan said the plant would be set up as per state government's choice as soon as the matter.....

I am astonished when i read sibu soren lost in by elections.It is an unprecedented result. People deliberately voted against Sibu Soren because of his crime activities.Any way people have finally slammed against him even he has a dream to become C.M of his state.
