
Ranchi, Jan 8: Jharkhand Chief minister, Shibu Soren on Thursday, Jan 8 lost the by-elections for Tamar Assembly constituency. Soren lost to Jharkhand Party candidate Gopal Krishna Patar by 9,200 votes.
&13;The counting for Tamar Assembly Constituency began on Thursday, Jan 8 at 8 am amid tight security.
&13;Soren was seeking to enter the Assembly within the stipulated six months after assuming office on Aug 27.
&13;The seat fell vacant after JD(U) legislature party leader Ramesh Singh Munda was gunned down on July 9 last year by suspected Maoists.
