I dont want any tension on Indo-Pak border: Gilani

Islamabad, Dec 24: I don't want any tension along the India Pakistan borders, ascertained Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani. Gilani has promised to act responsibly and cautiously to ease the tension between two nations, which aroused after India blamed Pakistan based elements for the Mumbai terror attacks, the Daily Times reported.

“Nobody wants tensions on the borders, and we are moving responsibly and with caution," the Prime Minister said. On speculation of the probable war between two nations, Gilani said Pakistani army is prepared if the war breaks. He also said that Pakistan"s armed forces were
prepared to deal with any situation in defending the country.

However, Gilani expressed his urge to maintain good ties with India based on mutual respect.

Zardari not invited for Obama's swearing-in

Lahore, Jan 14: No foreign leaders have been invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the US President elect Barack Obama, the US officials said. They also dismissed the reports about Pakistan President, Asif Ali Zardari attending Obama's swearing-in.According to the Daily Times, the invitations issued by the US Secretary of State have names of foreign ambassadors and their wives only, as guests for the ceremony in Washington DC on January 20.Earlier, a Pakistan official had said.....
