Just In: BSE Sensex closed at 9,645.46, down just 9.44 points or 0.1 per cent from previous close. It swung 304 points between an intraday high of 9,746.01 and low of 9,441.97. The 50-share NSE Nifty was down 0.28 per cent or 8.10 points at 2,920.15.

Markets had started the day on Thursday, Dec 11 on a flat note and traded volatile till the afternoon trade. Following weak European markets, indices slipped into red after 1:30 pm, and in last half an hour of trade, they have managed to show smart recovery.

The Sensex lost just 24 points to 9,630 and the Nifty fell 11 points to 2,916, at 3.03 hours IST. However, BSE Midcap and Small Cap indices are up 1 to 1.5 per cent.

BSE Sensex slipped 125 points to 9,529 and the Nifty fell 42 points to 2,885, at 1.37 hours IST. However, BSE Midcap and Small Cap indices rose 1.3 per cent each.

The Sensex fell 75 points to 9,579 and the Nifty went down 26 points to 2,902, at 11:02 hours IST. However, BSE Midcap Index rose 1 per cent and Small Cap Index gained 0.8 per cent.

Mumbai, Dec 11: Markets opened on a positive note on Thursday, Dec 11 after massive gains in the previous session.

National Stock Exchange"s (NSE) benchmark Nifty rose 9.05 points or 0.35 per cent to 2937.30. Bombay Stock Exchange"s (BSE) 30-share Sensex gained 7.46 points to 9662.36 from Wednesday, Dec 10 close.
