New Delhi, Dec 8: After Shiela Dikshit's hattrick victory, the first sentence she uttered was, 'Please have some discipline!'. The Delhi Chief Minister yelled this as the loud chatter of an army of journalists prevented her from addressing them after the Congress' stunning victory in the assembly elections.

'I am shouting and you are also shouting. Who can speak in this atmosphere?' she asked. Dikshit, who led the Congress to a third five-year term following the Nov 29 balloting, later thanked the people for voting for her party.

Srinagar, Dec 7: Polling for 18 constituencies for the fourth phase began on a dull note in Jammu Kashmir due to cold weather on Sunday, Dec 7. Security is beefed-up to ensure smooth polling and in view of the recent militant attacks at Sapore area in Baramulla district in which two people were killed. The fate of 256 candidates will be decided by the voters. Of the 18 constituencies, seven segments are located in Baramulla district, five in Budgam and 3 each.....

New Delhi, Dec 8: Counting of votes began on Monday, Dec 8 for the just-held assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram.
