Meet the 78-year-old who celebrates Christmas with 80-year-old tree!

London, Dec 7 (ANI): A Brit woman is celebrating Christmas with a tree which was bought by her late husband's grandmother nearly eight decades ago.

Frances Fearn revealed that she still enjoys decorating the tree bought for three old pence way back in 1929.

The 78-year-old decorates it with its original decorations, which are a gold bell, a pipe and a Father Christmas figurine.

"It's so threadbare but it was my husband's pride and joy. I think it's the oldest tree in the country," the Telegraph quoted Fearn, as saying.

"I have to admit it's getting a bit tatty now. I just hope I don't do any damage to it this year. I always try to decorate it like Geoff did," Fearn added.

Fearn revealed that her husband loved Christmas and decorating the tree.

"Geoff just loved Christmas - and Christmas had to be with the family and his tree, which was given to him by his grandmother when he was a small boy," Fearn said.

"We always had a big tree as well as this one," she added.

The Octogenarian has vowed never to get rid of the tree and says she knows her husband, a former bus driver, would want her to keep on using it. (ANI)
