Mysore: 'MUDA to allot 3000 sites in March'

Mysuru, Nov 12: To verify the genuineness of 1.5 lakh MUDA site aspirants and thus expedite the process of distributing 3000 sites in R.T. Nagar before March next, the District in-charge Minister Shobha Karandlaje on Wednesday, Nov 12 suggested the authorities to outsource the job to a private party.

To take stock of the situation, Shobha had called a review meeting of heads of all departments this morning at the premises of MUDA here.

Referring to the pending applications for sites, Shobha instructed to check the genuineness of the applicants first before allotting the sites.

Deputy Commissioner P. Manivannan and MUDA Commissioner P.C. Jayanna replied that such a check could not be done soon for want of enough staff. Hence Shobha suggested to outsource the work.

The Minister also instructed to identify sites lying vacant for long periods and serve notice on the owners.

The second phase of distribution of sites numbering 3000 in Lalithadripura should be completed before June next, she instructed.

Stating that the approach roads to Talkad from Mysore and Mandya were in a deplorable state, Shobha suggested to draw action plans for repairing the same and submit to the Government for releasing the necessary funds.
