Hyderabad, Oct 26 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh State council of the International Human Rights Protection Association (IHRAP) would start functioning from December this year, according to Officer on Special Duty, IHRAP New Delhi State Council, Mr Pawan Kumar Rai.
Addressing a press conference here today, Mr Rai said the National Commiteee of IHRAP had appointed Mr Vanka Pramod as President of the Andhra Pradesh State council and Zonal Incharge for South India.
Mr Pramod was authorised to form the committees in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Puducherry, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar.
He said IHRAP would take up complaints against Police Department, encesses on SC, ST, OBCs and others, bonded labour, child labour issues, issues related with child marriages, communal riots abduction, kidnapping, rape and murder, sexual harrassment cases and any complaints related with women and other types of complaints.
The principles of the IHRAP were to save succeeding generations from the scourges which had brought untold sorrow to mankind and to reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights, dignity and worth of human person and living rights of men and women.
