Talking to mediapersons here, Hayden said, ''I think two great nations have played the game with great spirits and so far India has got the best of us.'' The burly left-hander, who had once described Harbhajan Singh as an ''obnoxious little weed'' seemed to have burried the hatchet and has turned into an admirer of the off-spinner.
''Harbhajan has really played very well and it has been tough to play him. He is a star especially with the way he has come back after so many controversies and then the spirit in which he has played so far.
'' I think every one has moved on from the Harbhajan-Symonds episode,'' he added.
However, when reminded about the Indian speedsters Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma's aggression in the two Tests for which the former was even penalised, Hayden said emotions do get intense with so much of pressure around.
''Its a case of two hungry dogs - if I may use these words - left in a ring to fight for victory,'' Hayden responded.
Hayden was here along with many star players from across the world for the draw ceremony of the Champions League Twenty20 tournament which will feature top Twenty20 domestic teams from India, Australia, Pakistan, South Africa and England.
The left-handed opener also admitted the crisis of lack of quality spinners in the Australian team and said the absence of Shane Warne would always be felt in any side that the leg-spinner has ever played.
''Not only the Australian team, but any side would miss him.
He led a team in the IPL - Rajasthan Royals - which was the most under rated team in the whole tournament.
''But he led the team incredibly and he also showed that even though he was out of top level cricket for quite some time, he still has the quality to trouble the best in the business,'' he opined.
Sohail Tanvir who was given the award for best bowling in the Twenty20 domestic cricket for his six for 14 against Chennai Super Kings also endorsed Hayden's comments.
''The whole credit for our success goes to Shane Warne and we are confident to win the Champions League as well,'' he said.
