Mumbai, Oct 19: The non-Maharashtrians again face the wrath of Raj Thackeray's Maharastra Navnirman Sena(MNS) in Mumbai. The MNS on Sunday, Oct 19 allegedly attacked railway examination centre in Mumbai. Reports suggests that the examination was stopped and exam papers were torn in Vidya Bhavan High School.

MNS activists had allegedly beaten up the candidates and pelted stones at people from North India, who came for giving examination. The MNS activists had also created uproar at Thane Station late on Saturday, Oct 18 night. Non-Maharashtrian candidates at Dombivali's Tilak college were also attacked

Eight activists have been detained and the exam has been cancelled as preventive action at the Kasturba Marg police station, Borivali. MNS agenda for the violence is to give priority to Maharahstrians in government railway jobs.

Raj Thackeray, the MNS supremo has been quite vocal against North Indians living in Mumbai. In fact, this is not the first time the North Indian community has been targeted by MNS activists. In February, the Sena got violent against migrant labourers from north India.

In November 2003, Thackeray's supporters had disrupted a Railway Board exam in Kalyan by preventing candidates from other states, mainly the north, from appearing.
