Gold glitters, silver declines in opening trade

Mumbai, Sep 6: Value of standard mint gold on Saturday, Sep 6 rose by Rs 100 to Rs 11,705 per ten gm and silver dropped Rs 320 to Rs 19,890 per kg, from their last finish, on mixed sentiments amid demand and supply bouts in bullion markets, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following were the opening domestic spot rates: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade: Rs 19,890 Gold (per 10 gm): 99.5 purity standard mint: Rs 11,705 99.9 purity pure gold: Rs 11,775.

Precious metals recover on better buying support
