Singur, Sep 3: On Wednesday, Sep 3 a pro-Tata farmer committed suicide, hearing the news of Tata motors pull out from Singur plant. All his three sons are employed in the Tata Nano plant. The 65 year old farmer had sold his entire farm land to Tata motors. He was paid three and half lakh as compensation for this. He used this money to construct a two storey house. It was learnt that he was apparently upset with the news of Tatas withdrawal.
Mean while Mamata Banerjee said that she is hoping for a positive solution to the Singur agitation. She told that Trinamool Congress will not back from the agitation unless the 400 acres of farmers were given back. West Bengal governor Gopal Kirshna Gandhi is playing the role of mediator in the talk between Trinamool congress chief and Tata Motors.
Tata motors on Tuesday, Sep 3 has officially suspended the work in the Singur TATA Nano plant and threaten to withdraw from Singur and to roll out Nano from its other plants.
