Nepali Congress analyses its future role

Kathmandu, Aug 26 : The central committee meeting of Nepali Congress (NC) the main opposition party continues for the second day today.

The meeting is evaluating the party's performance after the party was forced to stay in the opposition following the ascent of Maoists to power.

Senior Nepali Congress leaders have said that the meeting will also analyse the role to be played by Congress in the coming days in course of writing new Constitution through the Constituent Assembly (CA).

On Monday, Nepali Congress leaders Narahari Acharya and Bimalendra Nidhi had submitted separate political reports.

In his report, Acharya has criticised the party leadership for failing to bring about emotional unity between Nepali Congress and NC-Democratic and has called for Maha Samiti meeting at the soonest, Nepalnews reported.

New Delhi, Mar 11: The world's largest armoured vehicle manufacturing unit is to be set up in India by this mid-year under a 51:49 joint venture between the British armoured vehicle maker Armet and the country's Indian technical textile producer Shri Lakshmi Cotsyn.The facility -- to come up at Malwan, near Kanpur -- is expected to be operational by July later this year with an initial roll-out capacity of 300 luxury armoured vehicles for VIPs per annum.The unit would be later.....
