Police nabbed man on cheating charges

Chennai, Aug 26: Airport police on Tuesday, Aug 26 arrested a man on cheating charges under section 420 at Chennai International Airport last night.

Police said the 38-year-old passenger Anil Kumar, who had been absconding in Hyderabad, was nabbed while he was trying to board an Air France flight to Paris. Mr Kumar was wanted under criminal charges for various criminal offences in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad Police earlier passed on information about the accused Anil Kumar to all airports authorities in India.

The accused, hailing from Amirpettai village in Andhra Pradesh, was handed over to the Hyderabad Police.

'No decision on to extend CAS to more cities'

TNTF stage demo opposing VAT in city
