New Delhi, Aug 26 (UNI) The Railways today said the August 1 fire incident in Goutami Express in Andhra Pradesh was caused by " some highly inflammable substance." Thirty one passengers had perished and nine were wounded when a sleeper coach of Secunderabad-Kakinada Goutami Express caught fire between Kesamudram-Talapusapalli stations.
Railways Safety Commissioner, South Central Circle, Secunderabad, in his preliminary findings, said the fire "occurred due to some highly inflammable substance (in liquid or solid form) present in S-10 coach." " It was kept there by some unidentified person or persons while the train was speeding at 75 kmph, he said, adding "the fire appeared to have originated from the floor level." UNI SAA KK AS1810
