Husband, in-laws arrested for killing woman

Nashik, Aug 26 (UNI) Four people have been arrested for allegedly killing a 20-year-old newly wed woman in Chandwad taluka of the district.

According to police, Rani Nikhade, who was married to Sunil Nikhade (24) on July 7 this year, was allegedly tortured by her in-laws and husband regularly for gifts from her parents.

On August 24, Rani was allegedly set ablaze by her in-laws while asleep. Rani died yesterday after battling for life with 85 per cent burns in a local hospital.

Police have arrested Rani's husband, father-in-law Prakash Nikhade, Mother-in-law Tarabai Nikhade and sister-in-law Manisha Malsane.

Lift curfew: CPI(M) to J
