HP to liberalise Route Permit Act in Shimla

Shimla, Aug 26 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Government would liberalise the Route Permit Act for sealed and restricted roads in Shimla.

Stating this here today while addressing a felicitation function organised by Shimla Hoteliers and Restaurateur Association, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said that the government would ensured drive-in facility to tourists in the town and make best efforts to provide desired relief to the hoteliers of the town.

He said that efforts were afoot to create more parking sites besides constructing tunnels on priority to regulate the movement of the vehicular traffic in the town.

The Chief Minister however said that all-out efforts would also be made in association with the citizens of the town to make Shimla a pollution free city.

He emphasised the need to develop more spots of tourist interest around the town with a view to retain the visitors for more time.
