Seven Hindraf supporters released on bail



Butterworth, Aug 26 : The seven Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) supporters were released on police bail on Monday.

They were detained last Saturday after an illegal gathering outside a Chinese temple in Seberang Jaya, New Straits Times Online reported.

Nine people, including Hindraf co-ordinator R.S. Thanenthiran, were arrested when they refused to disperse after being ordered to do so by the police.

Police released two women on Sunday. Both were earlier arrested with the men for the offence.
