Gitanjali Group launches a new brand RIVAAZ..18K Gold CZ

Mumbai, Aug 26 (UNI) Gitanjali group, a leading ornament maker, today launched ''RIVAAZ', a new line of Gold CZ jewellery.

The brand was launched by Bollywood diva and style icon Sameera Reddy at a glittering function here.

Speaking to mediapersons, Gitanjali lifestyle head (jewellery and retail division) R K Menon said, ''RIVAAZ'' is a brand in 18K Gold with Signity Cubic Zirconia. The collection has more than 500 designs in rings, pendants, earrings, necklaces and bangles. It also has a range in religious pendants and Tanmanyas.

''We have fixed the collection's price band, keeping in view the ongoing festival season, from Rs 2,000 to Rs 12,000'', Mr Menon said.

Customers can also avail of 85 per cent buy back policy on the entire range, he added.

On the sidelines of the launching, Mr Menon told UNI that the Gitanjali group has extensive knowledge and experience with US product ranges for over two decades. The group is also playing a role in adding capabilities to the jewellery industry in the country by building two Special Economic Zones (SEZs), including one across 2,200 acres in Hyderabad, which is one the largest of its kind of units.

The group has spent more than 25 per cent of its fund per annum in R &D for developing a new design every month, he added.

Gogamedi pilgrims travel on train rooftops

Hisar, Aug 26 (UNI) Devouts, including women and children, were travelling in hordes on the roof of trains to participate in the popular Gogamedi mela despite sizzling heat. None of child deaths due to treatment modalities in trials:AIIMS

New Delhi, Aug 26 (UNI) The All India Institute of Medical Sciences today said none of the 49 deaths of children during clinical trials at AIIMS were due to the treatment modalities under trial. ''The deaths in children were due to high risk and serious disease conditions that the children suffered from,''the AIIMS said in a statement. Historical site 'Ambarkhana' collapse due to heavy rain

Bijapur, Aug 26 (UNI) Following heavy rains that lashed the city last night, 'Ambarkhana', a 500-year-old historical monument, collapsed killing two persons living in a shed built next to it. Police said big bounders used to build the monument came rolling down amidst heavy rains last night crushing to death Ashok Sidramappa Dhotaragavi(42) and his daughter Sudha (14).
