Female naxal nabbed in MP

Bhopal, Aug 26 (UNI) A female naxal carrying a reward of Rs 20,000 was arrested today in a forest adjoining Balaghat district's Mate village, Police Headquarters sources said.

Nirmala Gond alias Samla alias Saguna Gond, an active member of the Malajkhand Dalam, joined the Dalam about ten years back along with her sister Kamla. Nirmala also served in the Paraswada Dalam and was then sent to Maharashtra's Gadchiroli where she was part of the Korchi Dalam. She was married to rebel Shyamlal in Gadchiroli.

The couple later became active in the Malajkhand Dalam in Balaghat.

A tip-off was received on Saturday about Nirmala's presence in Borban village for propaganda. She slipped through the cordon but was ultimately caught. Nirmala was involved in several encounters with police in Balaghat.

Haryana offers land for American Technology Park

Chandigarh, Aug 26 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today offered to allot 300 acres of land to US India Business Alliance (USIBA) for setting up an American Technology Park in Haryana. The offer was made when a three-member USIBA delegation, led by its president Sanjay Puri, met the Chief Minister in connection with the allotment of land for the Technology Park. Dhumal launches Home Stay Scheme

Manali, Aug 26 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar today launched the Home Stay Scheme by handing over the first registration certificate under the scheme.
