Farmer murdered over land feud

Allahabad, Aug 26 (UNI) A farmer was today stabbed to death in Sarai Inayat area of the city.

According to reports, Matadin Prajapati (40), a resident of Rithaiya village, was having an old rivalry with Lalchand over a peice of land. When he was going towards the city by crossing the Uradi Saray village, Lalchand stopped him in front his home and an altercation took place between them.

The spat took an ugly turn and Lalchand stabbed the farmer to death.

Meanwhile, Station Officer of Sarai Inayat, Sunil Kumar Singh, said Lalchand and his friend Ram Sajeevan have been arrested and interrogation was on.

Trinamool to organise road blockade on Aug 29

India offers to strengthen Bhutan's democratic institutions

Sultry condition returns in Delhi, mercury rises to 34.5 Deg C

New Delhi, Aug 26 (UNI) After a cool weather during the weekend, to sultry condition was back in Delhi today with the mercury rising to 34.5 degrees Celsius. A high humidity level of 91 per cent, coupled with a sunny day led to rise in maximum temperature to 34.5 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal. Earlier, in the morning, the high humidity led to the shooting up of minimum temperature to 28.5 degrees Celsius, three degrees above.....
