CRPF jawan killed in Moaists encounter

Gaya (Bihar), Aug 26: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan was killed and three others were injured in an encounter with Maoists in Bihar's Gaya District on Tuesday, Aug 26. According to sources, CRPF Havildar B P Singh was kidnapped and shot dead after an encounter with the Maoist guerrillas at Patthar-Lautia village, around 90 km from Gaya on Monday, Aug 25 evening.

Constables Mahipal Singh and R K Shahi, who received bullet injuries in the encounter, were admitted to the Magadh Medical College Hospital Gaya.

A sub-inspector, whose name was not known yet, was reported missing after the incident.

6 members of a family charred in fire in Gaya

Gaya, Dec 29: Altogether six members, including three children, of a family were burnt to death while one sustained severe injuries at Budhgaria village under Wazirganj police station in the district late last night, police said today. Police said the accident occurred after a fire broke out from a burning lamp while Prem Manjhi and his family members were fast asleep. Bihar Police recover bombs from Naxalite hideout

Gaya, Mar 29: The Bihar police recovered a huge cache of explosives, ammunition, Naxalite literature and other materials from an underground bunker at Takpahari village here early today.
