Cong not eyeing power alone: Jyotiraditya

Indore, Aug 26 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Communication and Information Technology Jyotiraditya Scindia has claimed that the Congress' goal was not just wresting power and therein lay the difference between his party and the BJP.

''The party high command's directive will be the basis for a decision regarding who will be this state's chief minister after the assembly polls,'' he told mediapersons here yesterday while responding to a query on whether senior Congress leader Kamalnath would assume the post.

London, Aug 26 (UNI) A former bodyguard of Indian-born author Salman Rushdie has apologised for lying about the world-famous writer in a tell-all book. In a book entitled ''On Her Majesty's Service,'' Ronald Evans, a former London Metropolitan Police officer wrote about Rushdie's life. Mumbai, Aug 26 (UNI) A local court today acquitted a man and his wife on the charge of assaulting former deputy municipal commissioner G R Khairnar. Mumbai, Aug 26: The Aviation industry may get some relief from the increased fuel prices as the Maharashtra government is considering reduction in the fuel sales tax.
