Chandigarh Tourism Department wins Today's Traveller award

Chandigarh, Aug 26 (UNI) Today's Traveller Platinum Award for the most Responsible Tourism Plan of 2008 has been bagged by the Chandigarh Tourism Department.

Union Tourism Minister Ambika Soni presented the award in New Delhi yesterday to Chandigarh Tourism Director Vivek Atray in the 11th anniversary celebrations of Today's Traveller.

Last year, the Uion Territory Tourism Department won Today's Traveller Platinum Award for Innovative Planning.

Tiruchirapalli, Aug 26 (UNI) Energex-2008, a three-day exhibition showcasing Tiruchirapalli as one of the major engineering hubs and energy equipment and fabrication capital of the country, will be held here from September 26. HP Governor urges promoting child welfare activities

Shimla, Aug 26: Himachal Pradesh Governor Parbha Rau has asked the state government to submit a pilot project to the Central Government for promoting child welfare activities in the state. New Delhi, Aug 26: The Olympic heroes returned home to a heroic welcome the wee hours of morning, amid high fan fare. The Indian contingent including the two bronze medalists, boxer Vijender Kumar and wrestler Sushil Kumar arrived at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi on Monday, Aug 25 night. Wrestler Sushil kumar was mobbed by his fans and supporters who had come all the way from Najafgarh to welcome their hero. Sushil won a Bronze medal at the Olympics,.....
