Bangalore, Aug 26 (UNI) An anonymous call stating that a bomb was planted at the prestigious Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc) here turned out to be a hoax today.

Dog Squad and bomb disposal experts made a thorough search at the Health Centre in the institute. Police was trying to trace the caller.

Meanwhile, a mock drill, conducted by the Disaster Management Cell to check the preparedness of the security and other agencies in the city, put the peak-hour traffic out of gear at Malleshwaram here.

Fire fighters and other agencies rushed to the spot to take up 'relief work.' However, this resulted in thousands of people being stranded at various places for more than 90 minutes.
