Administration orders Swami Bharti's detention under PSA in Jammu

Jammu, Aug 26 (UNI) The District Administration has ordered Swami Dinesh Bharti's detention for firebrand speeches among the masses protesting for restoration of 800 kanals of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB), sources here today said.

''The authorities have ordered the Saint's detention under Public Safety Act (PSA), who is among in forefront in spearheading the agitation,'' sources maintained.

The detention order has been given for provocative addresses of Swami Dinesh Bharti to instigate the agitators demanding restoration of land back to the SASB.

Over 30,000 people had gathered to listen to Swami Bharti in one of the biggest ever rally held in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir earlier this month.

Meanwhile, he continued with his speeches in different areas of the city and outskirts, but at present he (Dinesh Bharti) has went underground after the detention order under PSA was passed against him, sources added.
