Abu Dhabi makes IDs compulsory for expats by 2010

Dubai, Aug 26 (UNI) Abu Dhabi has made the National Identity Card mandatory for all expats who will be deported if they do not get one by 2010.

A top official at the Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA) said that without IDs the status of expats will be illegal and it will be difficult to do transactions at the bank and car registration offices.

Darwish Ahmad Al Zarouni, Director General of EIDA told the Gulf News, ''Schools will not accept admission of their children and their employers will be taken to task for recruiting them.'' Starting November 1, foreign businessmen, investors and company managers will be required to register for the national identity card, Mr Al Zarouni added.

US envoy to UN accused of having "unauthorized contacts" with Zardari

Most massive cluster of galaxies in Universe discovered

Paris, August 26 : ESA's (European Space Agency's) orbiting X-ray observatory XMM-Newton has discovered the most massive cluster of galaxies seen in the distant Universe until now. The newly-discovered cluster, known only by the catalogue number 2XMM J083026+524133, is estimated to contain as much mass as a thousand large galaxies. Pak presidential candidate Zardari suffers from "severe mental problems"

London, Aug 26 : Pakistan presidential hopeful and PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari was suffering from severe mental illness till last year, as he underwent severe torture during his 11 years of imprisonment in the past two decades in different prisons.
