VHP will continue agitation for Amarnath land: Singhal

Varanasi, Aug 22 (UNI) Urging the return of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) president Ashok Singhal today said the party would continue with it's agitation across the country until their demands were met.

Talking to mediapersons, at Kashi Sumerupeethadhishwar Jagatguru shankaracharya swami Narendranand Sarasvati's ashram here, he said the government would be bound to return the land the day lord Shiva devotees unitedly swing into action.

Noting the senstivity of the issue, Mr Singhal said the matter would heat up like that of Ayodhya temple issue in the entire nation.

Yesterday, Shankaracharya swami Narendranand Sarasvati ended his 13-day long fast in the presence of Union Minister for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal.

The Shankaracharya had observed fast-unto-death demanding return of land to the SASB and dismissal of J&K governor N N Vohra.
