Two held with 2.6-kg charas in Doda

Jammu, Aug 22 (UNI) Police today arrested two smugglers and recovered 2.6-kg of charas from their possession in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here said.

''On a tip-off, a joint nak was laid down by police and the army on Bhaderwah-Jai road near Gupta Ganga area while police intercepted a vehicle and recovered two packets of contraband,'' sources said.

During frisking, 2.6-kilogram of charas was recovered from the possession of the two smugglers, identified as Rafiq Choudhary, resident of Sultanpour, and Inayat Ullah, resident of Chinta, Bhaderwah, the sources told UNI.

However, a case under section 20 of NDPS Act has been registered against them, they added.

Human skulls seized near Indo-Nepal border

Khoribari (West Bengal), Aug 22 : Two bags full of human skulls and bones have been seized from a roadside eatery at Panitanki on the Indo-Nepal border. Govt. recommends tax waiver on Olympic medalists' prize money

New Delhi, Aug. 22 : The central government has decided not to levy tax on the cash awards being awarded to medal winners at the Beijing Olympics.
