Official gazettes made available on CD in Goa

Panaji, Aug 22 (UNI) The Goa government has brought out a compact discs, loaded with copies of all official gazettes from the period 2006-08, to facilitate the general public.

The CDs, each priced at Rs 30, were made available for sale at the government printing press offices at Panaji and Margao cities, according to an official release here today.

Municipalities in Mah given "A" ratings

Mumbai, Aug 22 (UNI) Four of the municipalities in Maharashtra have secured 'A' ratings in a countrywide long-term issuer ratings of 13 urban local bodies (ULBs), commissioned by the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM), Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). Srinagar, Aug 22 (UNI) A Lt Colonel, two soldiers and five militants were killed in a day-long fierce gunbattle in the woods in Machil sector of Jammu and Kashmir. The operation was still going on when reports last came in, a defence ministry spokesman told UNI.
