Mah CM announces Rs 5 lakh award for boxer Vijender

Mumbai, Aug 22 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today announced a cash prize of Rs five lakh for ace boxer Vijender Kumar for winning bronze medal in the middle weight (75 kg) category today in the Beijing olympics.

Mr Deskmukh, while congratulating Vijender for winning the third medal for India, said the three winners have made the country proud, according to an official release.

Bhubaneswar, Aug 22 : The delay in implementation of measures announced by Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik might lead to mass resignation by Government doctors on August 27. Over 2900 doctors working in government hospitals in Orissa have threatened to tender mass resignation on August 27. Shimla, Aug 22 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh governement is fighting with adverse road condition in apple producing areas and added 20 more JCBs today to restore traffice to transport apple in the state. Himachal Pradesh Horticulture Minister Nariender Bragata said that state adminstration has increased JCB machine and 100 JCBs are restoring traffic in view of apple season in the state.
