New Delhi, Aug 22 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir High Court Chief Justice Kalavamkodath Sivasankara Panicker Radhakrishnan has been transferred as Chief Justice of the Gujarat HC, it was announced this evening.

The announcement by the Law and Justice Ministry said the transfer was ordered by President Pratibha Patil after consultation with J and K Governor N N Vohra and Chief Justice of India K G Balakrishnan.

Justice Radhakrishnan has been directed to assume charge of his office in the Gujarat HC within a fortnight, the announcement said.

Meghalaya CM calls for reoriented civil services

Shillong, Aug 22 (UNI) Meghalaya Chief Minister Donkupar Roy today called for reorienting the civil services and training it to deliver better services to the people. Govt increases fund allocation for latrines under TSC in XI Plan

New Delhi, Aug 22 (UNI) Rural Development Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh today announced the initiatives taken to boost the Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC) in the Eleventh Plan. Addressing newsmen here today, Dr Singh said under the TSC, the Central Government has increased the unit cost of construction of latrines to Rs 2,500, from the existing Rs 1,500. Lawyers agitated over debarring of 2 senior lawyers by Delhi HC
