Era Infra bags contract worth Rs 111.27 Cr from CPWD

New Delhi, Aug 22 (UNI) Era Infra Engineering Ltd, a unified infrastructure development conglomerate, today said it has bagged contract worth Rs 111.27 Cr from Central Public Works Department (CPWD).

The company has bagged a contract for Up-gradation, renovation and new construction for Commonwealth Games 2010 in J N Stadium Sports Complex, New Delhi worth Rs 111.27 crores, it said in a statement.

The scope of work includes internal space planning of main stadium building including repair work of the upper tier, it added.

Jawan among 2 killed in Jammu accident

Jammu, Aug 22 (UNI) An Army jawan, among two people, was killed in two different road accidents in Udhampur and Reasi districts of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here said. ''A jawan was killed and eight others were injured, when an Army vehicle, which was on its way from Srinagar to Jammu skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge at Narsoo nallah on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway yesterday,'' police sources told UNI. Death of patient investigated, authorities deny shortage of drugs

Srinagar, Aug 22 (UNI) The authorities have set up a committee to investigate death of a patient in the Lalded Hospital allegedly due to shortage of drugs. Meanwhile, a Health Department spokesman denied that there was any shortage of life saving and other drugs in the valley. Principal, Government College (GMC), Srinagar, said the cause of the death of a patient from Handwara was being investigated by a Committee constituted by the Medical Superintendent of the Lalded.....
