Chiranjeevi celebrates birthday with mother

Hyderabad, Aug 22 (UNI) Film actor Chiranjeevi, who has taken the plung into politics, celebrated his birthday with his mother here today.

Unsure whether he would be able to spend much time with his family in the future due to his preoccupation with politics, the Tollywood matinee, who turned 54, decided to celebrate this birthday with his mother and family members.

With the actor all set to announce his party name, flag, policies and programmes at Tirupati on August 26, political equations are likely to change thereafter.

Dissuading his fans from rushing to Hyderabad to meet him in person, he had asked his admirers to plant saplings in their localities to protect the environment.

Reports of the birthday celebrations came from all over the state with his fans cutting cakes and involving in social services activities, including blood donation and distribution of fruits to patients in hospitals and old people.

Meanwhile, skirmishes occurred in the Jubilee hills area between the Chiranjeevi followers and the Telugu Desam Party activists when the former erected a cutout eclipsing the TDP banner put up in connection with the completion of the ''Meekosam Yatra'' by TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu.

Reports of fracas, between the fans of Cheerajeevi and actor Mahesh Babu, were also receieved from Visakhapatnam and Kakinada.

Recruitment scam in Railways during Nitish regime,RJD for CBI probe

BJP-JD (U) to meet PM on jobs for land scandal
