BSY has no moral right to continue-Nanaiah

Madikeri, Aug 22 (UNI) M C Nanaiah, MLC, today said that Chief Minister has no moral right to continue in chair as he is suspected to have been involved with a mining lobby of Bellary.

Calling a press conference here, he stated that the government has not made any attempts to put a full stop to the Mining business in spite of a High Court order.

Meanwhile, Mr Nanaiah regretted that the government did not respond to the rain damage claims from Kodagu.

He said that though the Deputy Commissioner had sent a report on the rain damage of Rs 22 crore, the government did nothing to release the funds.

He also criticised District Incharge Minister Krishna Palemar for having no concern towards the development of the district.

He also complained of Mr Yeddyurappa not visiting Cauvery and performing pooja at Talacauvery for a fear of losing power.

Probe against policemen involved in SBI fake currency case

Lucknow, Aug 22 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh police has ordered a high- level probe against the policemen allegedly involved in SBI Domariaganj fake currency racket, including the SHO, whose bank account was seized with large amount of cash. So far, over Rs two crore of counterfeit currency has been detected from the SBI chest. Educate rural pregnant women to utilise 108 service: Vyas

Meghalaya CM calls for reoriented civil services

Shillong, Aug 22 (UNI) Meghalaya Chief Minister Donkupar Roy today called for reorienting the civil services and training it to deliver better services to the people.
