Bhuj bus terminus receives hoax bomb threat

Ahmedabad, Aug 22 (UNI) Bhuj Central Bus Terminus authorities yesterday received an anonymous letter that threatened to blow up the bus terminus on August 20, between 1100 hrs and 1800 hrs.

Bhuj city police PSI G Zala told UNI that the authorities received the letter, a day after the bus terminus was threatened to be blown up.

However, police along with dog squad examined the entire bus terminus but found nothing suspicious.

Mr Zala said, ''Since July 26 serial blasts in Ahmedabad, city police have been maintaining a strict vigil in Bhuj. Police today checked collectorate and other such important buildings in Bhuj and have intensified patrolling.'' UNI HT RN SB UCS1255

One killed and three injured in Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 22 (UNI) One person was electrocuted and three others critically injured when they got in contact with a live wire in south Kashmir today, official sources said. Four people, travelling on top of a vehicle, were injured after they came into contact with a live wire at Kulgam, they added. They were admitted to hospital in a critical condition, where one of them died. The vehicle, carrying people from Kulgam, was on way to Eidgah here.....

ONGC to buy London-based Imperial Energy

London, Aug 22: The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation has raced into a lead in the bid to buy Imperial Energy, the 1.2billion pound London-based oil exploration and production company.
