Bangalore blasts' case will soon be cracked: Acharya

Bangalore, Aug 22: The State Police will soon detect the culprits behind Bangalore serial blasts and crack the case, claims Karnataka Home Minister V S Acharya on Friday, Aug 22 speaking to newspersons at a police function. He said that state police was working in tandem with Central agencies and Ahmedabad police and had made a major headway in 'pinning down' the culprits responsible for it.

Refusing to divulge more details into the issue Karnataka Home Minister expressed confidence that culprits would be brought back to books shortly.

City Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari, who was also present on the occasion, disclosed that the state police had questioned over 400 persons in connection to the blasts. The city police was in constant touch with their Gujarat counterparts who have nabbed key suspects in Ahmedabad Blasts that happened a day after the blasts in the city.

The IT hub was rocked when eight crude bombs using IEDs went off in a series killing one woman and injuring seven others.

Four live bombs found in Tumkur

Tumkur, Jan 18: Four live bombs were found at Tumkur district of Pavagad on Sunday morning, Jan 18. Peddanna, a naxalite was arrested by the Police on Dec 31. Reports suggest that he belong to a gang of suspected terrorists.
