Assam ministry reshuffle soon: Gogoi

Guwahati, Aug 22(UNI) Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today said he will reshuffle his ministry soon.

Addressing a news conference, he said a vacancy was created in the ministerial berth following arrest and subsequent jail of education minister Ripun Bora by the CBI on corruption charges.

The Congress High Command has given him a green signal for some minor changes in the ministry, he added.

Mr Gogoi also informed that there would be a reshuffle in the party.

According to the Congress sources Dildar Reza, Akan Bora and former minister Sarat Barkatoky are the contenders for a ministerial post.
