APMCs in Karnataka would be computerised: Minister

Hubli, Aug 22 (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Agriculture Marketing S Tangadgi today said that all the Agriculture Produce Marketing Committees (APMC) in the State would be computerized shortly to augment the administration.

Talking to newsmen after visiting APMC here, he said that computerisation would not only help the administration but also the farmers who come here to sell their produce.

He said that the Government had decided to fill all the vacant posts in various APMCs and the department soon in order to gear up the day to day administration.

He said that the APMC were of great help to the farmers and would reduce exploitation. The Government had been giving a serious thought in giving new facelift to the department and all the APMCs would be modernized.

SCs, others to own houses on shamlat land in Punjab
