Muslim organizations urge for peaceful solution

Srinagar/Jammu, August 21, 2008 : Muslim organizations urged the people of Jammu and Kashmir to arrive at a peaceful solution to the controversial land row. The land row began after the Kashmir government promised to give forestland to the trust that runs Amarnath, a cave shrine visited by Hindu pilgrims.

Leela Karan, President of Shri Amarnath Sangharsh Samiti, said, that the activists would burn the effigies of the central government for maintaining a 'criminal' silence over the issue.

India, Pak Auditors General discuss cooperation

New Delhi, Mar 13: India and Pakistan today agreed to strengthen cooperation between the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAI) of the two countries in areas of public audit and accounts. Pakistan's Auditor General Mohammed Yunis Khan, currently on a five-day visit o India, met Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) Vijayendra Kaul and discussed with him ways to strengthen cooperation between the SAIs of the two countries. Mr Khan who arrived here yesterday, also met senior officials.....
