Sudden death of a footballer on field

Bangalore, Aug 21: A 26 year old footballer, Attebi Djawrey Abale Albert Aguste from an Ivory Coast national, died on the field suddenly while playing a pulsating match at Central College Grounds here on Wednesday, Aug 20. Struck down by a massive heart attack, Aguste collapsed and died, seconds before the first half of a south zonal inter-college football match was to end. His teammates rushed him to St Martha"s Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The body was shifted to the Victoria Hospital mortuary after a post-mortem. It is likely to be flown to Ivory Coast on Thursday, Aug 21 police said. A BCA V Semester student at the Reddy Jana Sangha (RJS) First Grade College, Aguste was representing his college in the match against KGF First Grade College.

Suddenly the footballer collapsed at around 9.50 am, losing consciousness. A post-mortem at the Victoria Hospital later attributed the death to a massive heart attack. As news spread, his friends and students of the RJS college rushed to the hospital. Aguste had been residing with his two brothers in a three-bedroom house at Viveknagar. One of them, Merinda, is pursuing BCA at an Indiranagar college. The brothers came to Bangalore in 2005.

London, April 5 (ANI): A cheeky footballer was slapped with a yellow card after breaking a penalty-taker's concentration - by passing wind.Chorlton Villa was left facing a fine of 97 pounds after the referee declared that the noise was made intentionally.Another chance was provided to the International Manchester penalty-taker, who previously missed the shot, but redeemed himself with a goal during the retake.Villa's goalkeeper was later sent back to the pavilion for declaring that the referee was.....
