Sameer to lead Kerala in National Armswrestling Championship

Kozhikode, Aug 21 (UNI) Armswrestler, V T Sameer will lead Kerala in the 32nd National Armswrestling Championship beginning from August 23 in Bhilai.

The team comprising of 26 members, apart from Sameer, would participate in Junior, Senior, Masters and Handicapped catgories in the five-day event, a press release said here today.

First and second spot winners of the National Championship would represent the country in the Asian Armswrestling Championship to be held at Almaty, Kazhakistan, from September 23 and in the 30th World Armswrestling Championship to be held at Kelowna, British Columbia from November 29, the release added.

Lahore, Aug 21 (UNI) Controversial pacer Mohammed Asif could still emerge unscathed from his latest dope scandal after a major discrepancy was found in the concentrations of the prohibited steroid nandrolone in his two drug samples.
