Rs 754.5 lakh approved for NH road improvent

Puducherry,Aug 21(UNI)Union Shipping,Road Transport and Highways Minister T R Baalu has approved road improvement works on two different stretches of National Highway 45 A in Puducherry at a cost of Rs 754.5 lakh.

According to an official release here today,Rs 424.23 lakh has been approved for improving the riding quality from Madagadippet to Ariyur in NH 45 A and Rs 330.27 lakh for carrying out road improvement from Ariyur to Villianur in the same NH.

Originating from Villupuram,NH 45 A passes through Puducherry and ends at Nagapatinam.

Mah Cabinet approves new forest policy

Mumbai, Aug 21 (UNI) The Maharashtra Cabinet today approved a new forest policy and formation of state forest advisory board. The new forest policy emphasises on formation of green fund for maintenance of the environment and forest science centre for the benefit of farmers.
