Rahul visits flood-hit regions in Amethi

Sultanpur, Aug 21 (UNI) All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary Rahul Gandhi today visited flood-affected regions at his constituency, Amethi.

Mr Gandhi, who was on a three-day visit to his constituency, initially participated in a gram panchayat in Simrauta and later took stock of the situation at disaster-hit Musafirkhana of Jagdishpur assembly area.

He further instructed the party workers to arrange boats for rescue work and assured the victims that a bridge would be constructed from Paswan to Pipaghat for them.

Later, he asked his partymen to be on their toes for the Lok Sabha elections.

Haryana Agro to set up Honey Processing Lab

Chandigarh, Aug 21 (UNI) The Haryana Agro Industries Corporation plans to set up a qQuality control and Honey Processing Post Harvest Laboratory at its Research and Development Centre in Murthal. Agriculture Minister Harmohinder Singh Chatha today said the Corporation had set up the Research and Development Centre for development and research activities in the state. The Centre had also started the work of development of Herbal Park with the help of Forest Department for supply.....

Experts calls for collaborative research on wheat, barley

Hisar, Aug 21 (UNI) To achieve a quantum jump in the production of wheat and barley, experts today called for collaborative research by breeders and scientists working on quality programmes. Hospitality industry not prepared for Commonwealth Games: FHRAI
