Radiologist's conference in Nashik from tomorrow

Nashik, Aug 21 (UNI) Around 200-250 Radiologists are expected to participate in the state level conference being organised by Nashik and Maharastra state Radiological and Imaging Association (NMSRIA) here from August 22 to 24.

''There are many new avenues opening each day in the field of Radiology and Imaging. Technologies such as X-Ray, Colour Doplax, Multislice C T Scan and M R I Scan help in correct diagnosis of various diseases. The conference will discuss all aspects related to development in the field,'' Nashik Radiological and Imaging Association Executive Member Dr Hemant Kotwal said at a press conference here today.

The conference will be inaugurated at the hands of MLC Dr Vasant Pawar.

Renowed experts from across the country will provide their guidance during the conference, Mr Kotwal added.

BJP activists court arrest on Amarnath issue

Hubli, Aug 21 (UNI)BJP volnteers today courted arrest after protesting against cancellation of land granted to Amarnath temple trust here today. The members also picketed in front of Tahalisdar's office here under the leadership of Member of Parliament Pralhad Joshi and legislator Chandrakanth Bellad. Gauge conversion in TN to be completed in next two years

Chennai, Aug 21 (UNI) Minister of state for railways R Velu today said electrification of Villupuram-Tiruchirapalli section would be completed by the end of this year. Talking to reporters here after a review meeting, he said electric trains would be run on the section after the electrification. The electrification of Tiruchy-Madurai section would be taken up next year, he added. Mr Velu said all the gauge conversion works in Tamil Nadu would be completed in.....

Union Minister announces schemes for naxal-affected areas

Guntur, Aug 21 (UNI) Union Minister of state for commerce and power Jairam Ramesh today said the UPA Government at the centre was implementing the developmental schemes in the naxal-affected tribal areas to check the naxal menace. Talking to reporters here he said the Rubber Board and Cofee Board under Union Ministry of Commerce would go in for a memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with APITDA and Naandi foundation, an NGO at Hyderabad tomarrow to promote coffee.....
