One held with two passports with different names

Hyderabad, Aug 21 (UNI) The city police today apprehended a person who was holding two passports with the same photograph but in different names and addresses and seized three Passports from him.

According to a press release, the accused Arif Ibrahim Qureshi a butcher was running a beef shop here. In 1991 he went to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia as Butcher but returned back to India as his passport was taken away by his employer there.

Later, he obtained another passport in the name of Mohammed Pasha Qureshi and went to Saudi again on Umera Visa in 1995. Again in 2002 he decided to go abroad for employment and obtained the third Passport in the name of Arif Ibrahim Qureshi and went to Dhammam after getting a job as Butcher. There, his passport was renewed at the Indian Embassy, Riyadh, the release added.

Staircase to Bandra skywalk opened

Mumbai, Aug 21 (UNI) The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) today opened a staircase to 1.3 km-long skywalk, connecting the Bandra railway foot overbridges (FOB) to Kalanagar, at Anant Kanekar Marg in suburban Bandra, thus making the commute easier for the pedestrians to the railway station. With this, people residing in Behrampada area and those working in commercial establishments located at Anant Kanekar Marg, Bandra (East) will no longer have to go to Kalanagar.....

566 activists court arrest over Amarnath land row

Dhar, MP, Aug 21 (UNI) A total of 566 activists belonging to the BJP and other Hindu outfits courted arrest here today over the Amarnath land row in Kashmir. Earlier, agitators took out a rally and shouted slogans in protest against revoking of land allotted to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board. Later, protestors reached Kotwali police station and courted arrest en masse. A memorandum was also submitted to the district administration. UNI XC-PS RR RAI2105.....

APUWJ cautions against fake housing society

Hyderabad, Aug 21 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ) today cautioned the journalists in the city about a self styled housing society, which had invited applications from journalists for house sites. In a statement here D Somasunder and Y Narender Reddy, President and General Secretary respectivly of the union, said that a self styled housing society of journalists had invited applications from the working journalists in the city for house sites.
