Ujjain, Aug 21 (UNI) Rashtriya Swabhiman Andolan Convener K N Govindacharya has claimed that the Indo-US nuclear deal was a 'fraud' on the people as it was misleading.
''This deal is unnecessary, useless and dangerous for the nation,'' Mr Govindacharya told mediapersons here today, adding that those at the helm of affairs had compromised with country's sovereignty and revealed only half truth to the people.
He said that ironically, senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani also supported the nuke deal.
''Mr Advani intended to take credit of the nuclear agreement by signing it after becoming prime minister,'' he alleged.
He said that political parties adopted diverse stands when in power and opposition.
''All political parties have adopted double standards to befool the public. The displaying of currency notes in the Parliament showed the real face of the political parties,'' the former BJP general secretary said.
