Man held for holding fake passport in TN

Tiruchirapalli, Aug 21: Airport Police arrested a 36-year-old man for attempting to fly to Dubai with a fake passport at the International Airport here on Wednesday, Aug 20.

Police said the passenger U Vasu, hailing from Nochikulam village in Perambalur District of Tamil Nadu, was nabbed by the Immigration authorities, when they found that his travel documents were fake.

Later, Mr Vasu was handed over to the local police, who arrested and remanded him to judicial custody.

Mumbai, Dec 18: Two aides of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, who were deported from Dubai last month, were today booked under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) in connection with an extortion case.
